The worlds of PR and journalism are growing ever more entwined and, as a result, we are looking for a journalist and/or subeditor to join our close-knit and growing team. The right candidate will join us working with a range of exciting clients on projects that are not only interesting but often verging on the impossible.
An ability to use InDesign and follow strict CI guidelines, but also to write interesting, accurate copy, to length and to deadlines, is a must.
If you are a self-starter and an obsessive fact-checker, ideally with experience of subbing either magazines or newspapers, we would love to hear from you. Please note that the successful candidate must also be in a position to hold his/her own in an office grammar debate, and to travel, if the need arises.
This is a full-time, part-time or freelance position and, because of the nature of some of our work and clients, a degree of confidentiality will sometimes be necessary.
The following are essential:
· Knowledge of InDesign or similar (you may be asked to take a test)
· Ability to write well, and accurately
The following would be both preferable and useful:
· Knowledge of Photoshop
· Video editing experience
· An interest in cars
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
To apply, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with a copy of your CV and outlining why you think you’re right for the job.
