Account manager – PR

We are looking for an account manager to join our PR team, working across a range of clients in fields ranging from travel and hospitality to automotive, technology and retail. If you are bright, personable, proactive and have excellent written English and attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.

Tasks will include liaising with clients and journalists, creating grammatically-perfect press releases, assisting on events, managing editorial and awards calendars and you’ll be responsible for the creation of a variety of social media content. The right person for the job will be a self-starter who is brimming with ideas and able to turn their hand from writing about anything from horses and holiday parks to high-voltage transformers and hybrid engines.

The following skills are essential:

·       Ability to write well and grasp new subjects easily (you may be asked to take a test)

·       Attention to detail

·       Faultless grammar and spelling
 

The following would be both preferable and useful:

·       Knowledge of InDesign

·       Knowledge of Photoshop

·       Video editing experience

This is a Lancaster-based full-time position as part of a hardworking and growing team of events organisers, PR experts, writers and designers.

Journalist/Subeditor/Content creator

The worlds of PR and journalism are growing ever more entwined and, as a result, we are looking for a journalist and/or subeditor to join our close-knit and growing team. The right candidate will join us working with a range of exciting clients on projects that are not only interesting but often verging on the impossible.

An ability to use InDesign and follow strict CI guidelines, but also to write interesting, accurate copy, to length and to deadlines, is a must.

If you are a self-starter and an obsessive fact-checker, ideally with experience of subbing either magazines or newspapers, we would love to hear from you. Please note that the successful candidate must also be in a position to hold his/her own in an office grammar debate, and to travel, if the need arises.

This is a full-time, part-time or freelance position and, because of the nature of some of our work and clients, a degree of confidentiality will sometimes be necessary.
